Exam Task: Reference 2

To whom it may concern

I am William Radcliff, Director of Art & Media at Universal Studios, and I am writing to recommend Mr. Thomas Johnson for the position of art instructor at Creative Camps for children between the ages of 6 and 10.

Mr. Johnson is a good friend of mine, who has been working as coordinator during the last three years at the Kids Art Center in the Universal Park, Florida, USA. He is 28 years old, has a degree in plastic arts. He has skills in drawing and pottery, and also, he is good in communication with kids (for individual and groups).

At the Park, he was in charge of the art entertainment events for young boys and girls. He promoted workshops at the thematic animation areas, where children can play and express their artistic skills, drawing and designing with clay different objects.

Always he is friendly and approachable, and very enthusiastic about new artistic challenges. He is the eldest of five and has a gift for the entertaining young children.

He has been searching for a job at Creative Camps for a long time. Due to his experience dealing with young people and kids, his impressive artistic skills, his job training as a coordinator at Universal Park, Mr. Johnson has an adequate profile. I have no hesitation in recommending him for the position.
Sincerely yours.

Exam Task: Reference

We were asked to write a reference to an invented character who has just applied for a job as a student services assistant.

To whom it may concern,

I recommend Miss Alyssa Taylor as College Student Service Assistant. She has been living in London since she was five years old and I knew her when I was the Head Master of the City of London School for Girls ten years ago.

Miss Taylor is really good at multi-tasking. Due to her good interpersonal aptitudes, she was elected as President of the Student's Council of the school. She learns History of Art at the London University and has a degree in School Administration. Miss Taylor has improved her natural skills learning in the best community centers.

She has a gift for organizing her duties and excellent computing skills. With these qualities she manages the labor time efficiently, making her ideal for the position, which requires a person able to offer the necessary help as soon as possible.

Her strong experience as  School Preceptor and School Secretary provided to Miss Taylor the possibility of improving her dealing with students groups. She deals easily with oral and written communications.

I have no hesitation in recommending Mis Alyssa Taylor for this position due to her experience and abilities making her highly suitable for the position.

Yours faithfully,

Agustina Rivarola
Master of London City School of Girls
