#LoveIsLove

In Poetry, we were asked to create our own poem. We had three topics and I choose my point of view of what love was for me.

Beware! Rainbow flag! Love's got no gender
Neither age matters when the feeling is real
Not even what other people think
When your standing with whom there is no fear

In all known laguages Love is a feeling
"The most beautiful" everyone can say
However when you really are in love
Honey, you're not perfectly "okay"

Trapped in a binweed of feelings
Like you have of yourself no restraint
As you feel to get closer to someone
And be something more you can't wait

That "someone" you like in the spotlight
Who creates in your chest some fear
Of someone covering ground
And prevent you to be near.

Amorousness, shyness, jelousy
Like some quaint ying-yang
Love can't be avoided
Nor its good or bad stuff

'Cause when it leaves you alone
You feel empty and irretrievable
You can either choose suffering
Or wager to see if to stand up you're able.

  1. Amazing work Agustina! Both a poem and a political statement. The exclamations at the very beginning are the perfect start for this poem.
The picture at the end suits to this entry perfectly well.
Your poem is personal, expressive, committed and makes great use of imagery, language and vocabulary. Congratulations on your creative writing skills!!

    1. Just a comment, the proper spelling is "yin yang" for the 5th stanza.
